Contribution is when a consumer of a design system gives back (design, code and design, documentation) — completing work that enriches the system by creating, extending, or enhancing tangible assets.It requires a consumer to identify a gap, know how to fill it, and be compelled to invest the time in doing so.

More than 3 years ago, ING didn't have a solid design system in place. I joined the Orange Juice Design Squad in late 2019, as the ambassador from Asia, eventually leading the Tooling and Operations function in Manila.
